Puma has revealed another radioactive shoe for NBA star LaMelo Ball.
Arriving before month’s end is the Puma MB.03 “Toxic,” a look the brand said brings Ball’s “otherworldly style and performance to the court like never before” and “shows what happens when Melo’s ‘Not From Here’ style goes radioactive.”
The “Toxic” colorway, according to Puma, was inspired by his “belief that he’s from another world,” and is executed in psychedelic colors — including bold tones of purple, pink and green — and graphics that resemble Ball’s alien tattoos. The shoe also feature several phrases synonymous with Ball, including “Fear No One” near the toe boxes, “Fear” and “No One” across the left and right shoe, and “1 of 1” on the tongue tabs.
In terms of tech, the shoe features supportive, double-layered mesh uppers, outsoles with a nonslip rubber compound for durability and traction (and the word “Rare” split across the shoes), and the brand’s lightweight and responsive Nitro foam midsoles.

“This shoe reflects my personality and my style, and I can’t wait to witness the magic that they bring to the court,” Ball said in a statement.
The Puma MB.03 “Toxic” arrives today, Oct. 27 via Puma.com, the Puma app, the Puma NYC Flagship store and at Foot Locker, Kids Foot Locker and Champs Sports. The sneaker will retail for $125.
What’s more, Puma and creative agency Translation revealed its BRTHR-directed “Rumors” campaign featuring Ball to accompany the MB.03 launch. The debut campaign video, according to Puma, was created to be a “stimulation-overload” that takes viewers “on a psychedelic journey through a world of outlandish, imaginative rumors about Melo Ball.” This includes Ball being a superhero, having a bionic eye and an athlete who trains in outer space.
