Nina Chanel Abney’s Highly Anticipated Air Jordan 3 Sneaker Gets Official Images and a June Release Date

Nina Chanel Abney’s Air Jordan 3 is one of the most hotly anticipated sneaker releases for the summer, and official images have now arrived for the artist’s second collaboration with Jordan Brand.

The Nina Chanel Abney x Air Jordan 3 “Bicoastal” is slated to begin releasing next week through the artist’s website. The shoe’s dramatic green makeover sees two shades of the color take over the upper in canvas and suede. Cream serves as an accent color through its application on the sole, eyelets, lining and mustache — the latter of which appears in a hand-drawn, chenille style.

A small, orange Jumpman hangtag is attached to the heel counter, and the artist confirmed in an Instagram comment that it features perforations for easy removal. The insole takes on an orange and white checkerboard print with circular Jumpman logos, and inner tongue tags in leather feature text for “Air Jordan” and “Nina.” A custom box featuring Abney’s artwork will also mark the occasion.

A campaign for the shoe released Thursday featuers Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz.

Abney has been teasing her Air Jordan 3 throughout the year, beginning with shots of the mustache prior to construction. She previously collaborated with Jordan Brand on high- and low-top Air Jordan 2s with pared down detailing, the former of which featured red accents and the latter green. Last fall, she also released a reimagined 6-Inch Boot with Timberland.

The Nina Chanel Abney x Air Jordan 3 will reportedly release June 13 through the artist’s website before a wider launch on the Snkrs app and select retailers June 20. Pricing is set at $225.
