One of Nike’s most infamous sneakers is getting a premium update courtesy of the brand’s virtual-focused .Swoosh platform.

After being released in “TINAJ,” “TINAJ B” and two “404 Error” colorways, the .Swoosh Nike Air Force 1 releases are set to continue in the near future with a premium spin on the triple-black style of the sneaker. While the all-black Air Force 1 is often associated with crime and other dubious activities, it looks like Nike will be bringing the shoe into the digital world with this new .Swoosh offering.

From a glance, the classic sneaker remains largely unchanged, but a closer look reveals a number of details unique to this .Swoosh version. The shoe’s upper has been fashioned in a premium leather and features a mini Swoosh embroidery at the toe, .Swoosh dubrae branding and “Swoosh Air” text in place of the traditional Nike Air logo.

Further changes that elevate this all-black Air Force 1 include a leather liner, leather insole and a leather tongue tag with a debossed Swoosh logo. Yet the most intriguing addition to this pair is a miniature toothbrush which reads “you missed a spot” and doesn’t contain actual bristles — perhaps a cheeky nod to the colorway’s durability.

Nike debuted .Swoosh in November 2022, initially introducing it as a “metaverse marketplace” in an attempt to capitalize on the hype around NFTs and Web3. As those trends began to taper off, Nike pivoted to make .Swoosh more centered around video games and digitally-inspired physical products

While the actual backstory behind this .Swoosh x Nike Air Force 1 “Triple Black” has not been officially announced, it’s clear that Nike has some interesting plans for the sneaker in 2025. Readers can expect this pair to be released via .Swoosh during spring 2025 for a retail price of $130.
