Nigel Sylvester’s Air Jordan 4 Restomod ‘Bike Air’ Gets a Late-July Release Date

Rumors and low quality images of a retooled Air Jordan 4 have been circulating since late last year, and Nigel Sylvester has now given sneakerheads the best look yet at the forthcoming shoe through his own collaboration.

The Air Jordan 4 RM, short for “Restomod,” was revealed and worn by the professional BMX rider in a video posted to Instagram by the NYC jeweler Greg Yuna. The lower-cut sneaker gets a change-up in its cage shape and takes on Sylvester’s “Bike Air” branding on both the heel and tongue for his “Pro Green” colorway. The occasional Jordan collaborator also adds a mini Swoosh to the toe tip, a minor detail he’s employed previously as well.

In a later Instagram post, Sylvester announced his Air Jordan 4 RM will be known as “Grandma’s Driveway” to commemorate where he set up cones and developed his BMX skills as a child.

At this point in the cycle, little is known about the sneaker beside what can be seen, but the Air Jordan 4 RM likely features inward technology updates as well. One lesser-known sneaker leaker reported four versions of the sneaker are slated for release, two of which will be collaborations. At least one of those, of course, will be Nigel Sylvester‘s.

The Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 4 RM “Grandma’s Driveway” will release July 20, with the precise channels yet to be announced. Pricing is set at $150.
