Ja Morant Addresses Latest Sneaker Leaks, Says He’ll ‘Start Leaking His Own Shoes’
Hours after a new Kool-Aid x Ja Morant Nike sneaker collaboration leaked, the Memphis Grizzlies star took to his Instagram to take matters into his own hands.
“Gon start leaking my own shoes,” Morant wrote on his Instagram story, where he shared a look at sample versions of upcoming Nike Ja 2 sneakers including the Kool-Aid collaboration and what appears to be a new Swarovski-encrusted colorway.
Morant’s post came after detailed images of the Kool-Aid x Nike Ja 2 were shared on social media. The soon-to-be-released sneaker features a mismatched colorway which combines “Bright Crimson/Flat Silver/Hyper Pink/Black/Photo Blue” across the left and right shoes. Both shoes include a glow-in-the-dark outsole.
The iconic Kool-Aid Man character appears on the tongue in his signature bursting-through-the-wall arrival. This cracked motif is carried over to the outer Swoosh logo on both shoes, which are colored in the various hues of the drink’s flavors.

In addition to the Kool-Aid collaboration, Morant’s Instagram previews included a crystal-covered rendition of the Ja 2, likely a continuation of the line’s Swarovski styles. Another Swarovski-adorned Nike Ja 2 with just 1,999 pairs produced is expected to be released in February. There’s no official word yet on the alternate pair shared by Morant.
The Nike Ja 2 was released in September 2024 following the launch of Morant’s debut sneaker, the Nike Ja 1, in February 2023. The line has been hampered by leaks, with purported images of the Nike Ja 3, which fashions the Swoosh logo as a “J” to spell “Ja,” already making the rounds.
The mismatched Kool-Aid x Nike Ja 2 is expected to be released in May for a retail price of $130.
