Jae Tips is urging “No Shoes in the House” while reviving a Saucony model that hasn’t seen the light of day in nearly 25 years.
The Jae Tips x Saucony Matrix “No Shoes in the House” pack consists of two colorful variants with wool uppers inspired by the designer’s breakthrough in making hats. Less bright of the duo is the burgundy edition, which is accented by khaki, light purple and green. The “friends and family” blue edition, which won’t actually be limited to friend and family, sports a cotton candy look with additional shades of purple and pink.
Both variants are united by translucent outsoles and a metallic silver river stripe weaving through the middle of the sneaker. The word “Savier,” the name of Jae Tips‘ brand and a fixture of his previous three Saucony collaborations, appears on the lateral heel counter and on a new graphic on the right tongue with a rainbow globe and gold crown. Tips’ flower logo then sits on the heel atop a translucent bubble.

A campaign trailer posted to Instagram Tuesday shows the ritual of house guests taking off their shoes at the door, and a behind-the-scenes video posted the next day offers a quick glance at Jae Tips’ FN Achievement Award for the 2023 Collaboration of the Year.
“A lot of creatives I work with were asking to bring this back without even conversing with one another,” Jason Faustino, senior global brand manager for collaborations at Saucony, told Footwear News over the summer of the Matrix.
Both colorways for the Jae Tips x Saucony Matrix “No Shoes in the House” will get their initial release this weekend at ComplexCon. A wider launch for both will then follow December 6 through Saucony’s website. Pricing is set at $170.
