Back for another collaboration, British footwear company Gola and New York clothing brand Engineered Garments are taking a page out of Gola’s design books from the 1970s for a retro jogger sneaker with a modern edge.
The Gola x EG Ranger is part of the brand’s spring 2024 collection and will be available in three colorways, khaki/rhino, brown/khaki and ash/grey, all priced at $280.00.
The style offers a hiker-jogger silhouette, claiming a hybrid between “Gola’s retro sports heritage” from the brand’s ’70s design notebooks and Engineered Garments’ specialized and meticulous garment construction.
The multi-layered and colorful outsole of the sneaker is paired with the shoe’s upper, adorned with contoured lines that complement the overall color palette. Its design comes together to evoke a nostalgic sporty style with modernity at the forefront, as emphasized by the sneaker’s functional eyelet tabs and quality leather lining.

Additionally, the shoe includes a “Made in England” branding, Gola’s authentic mark on the shoe’s upper and Engineered Garments’ logo featured on the cushioned leather in-sock.
Gola and Engineered Garments previously partnered to relaunch the British brand’s discontinued Sentry sneakers that were originally released in 2005 to celebrate Gola’s 100th anniversary. The fall 2023 collection featured monochrome leather sneakers in black, white and chocolate brown. In the past, Gola has worked with Zara, J.Crew and Oliver Bonas, and Engineered Garments has had partnerships with Hoka, Dr. Martens and Paraboot.
The collection will be available exclusively at Nepenthes New York, nepenthesny.com as well as GolaUSA.com beginning Friday, Feb. 9.
