For the third consecutive year, Danish fashion label Ganni is linking up with New Balance.

The Ganni x New Balance T500 sees the archival tennis shoe rendered tastefully with slick accents. Off-white synthetic leather and mesh form the bulk of the upper, which is accented by a leopard print mustache. Logo charms for both parties come attached to the laces and can easily be moved or removed, while a dual-logo sees Ganni’s name embroidered in yellow. More color and prints arrive on the interior, as the sockliner is rendered in yellow, and a leopard print insole hosts green co-branding.

A good portion of Gianni’s T500 is recycled, including 80 percent of the upper’s polyester mesh and 100 percent of the polyester mesh detailing.

For its latest New Balance collaboration, Ganni has tapped four Copenhagen based creatives to interpret the T500. The Copenhagen brand Bonnetje created a wheeled heel for the project, and Masculina designer Alectra Rothschild turned the sneaker into a stiletto with a multi-color dye job. Ceramic artist Camilla Skov took inspiration from the shoe for a ceramic, and and the Danish-Mongolian artist Ojuna Njama Peterson created her own fuzzy baby shoe with embroidery and bugs.

Last year, Ganni took on the 1906R in two colorways, one with select yellow accents on white and the other completely taken over by the bright color.

After collaborating with Aimé Leon Dore on the T500 last year with Coco Gauff leading the campaign, New Balance has brought back the model in fuller force for 2024. The tennis sneaker originally released in 1982 as part of the brand’s Technology Transfer Court Collection focusing on performance with fit, traction and a low weight.

The Ganni x New Balance T500 will release September 20 exclusively through Ganni’s website and stores. Pricing is set at $150.
