Fendi Launches New ‘First 1’ Sneakers for Women Featuring a ‘Suspended’ Sole
Fendi has launched its latest sneaker, this time for women.
Called the First 1 sneaker, the shoe makes its debut for the Italian luxury brand’s fall/winter 2023 season and features a sleek shape with a statement sole.
The lifestyle show is characterized by a unique three-dimensional sole, that reimagines the signature “F” seen on the Fendi First heel a repurposes it into a sneaker. The “F” logo appears suspended into the lines of the sneaker, which features a peculiar construction resulting in an inverted “F” that appears to hold up the upper of the shoe.
Complementing the three-dimensional suspended sole, the upper features a thin, lightweight knitted fabric that’s customized with screen-printed Fendi lettering on the tongue, shoe tab, heel, outer toe point and the side.

Fendi’s newest sneaker will be available in four colorways including classic white and classic black, both with silver detailing. The range is completed by a sandy rose shade with silver and bright pink outlines, and a dust grey design with contrasting silver and dove grey details.
The Italian brand’s new First 1 sneaker, which retails for $995, is now available at 27 selected doors. A wider release at all Fendi boutiques worldwide and on Fendi.com will start on Oct. 5.
This launch comes just one week after the house showed its spring/summer 2024 women’s collection in Milan. Next season, Fendi will debut a series of sleek, well-polished leather pumps with high vamps, gold anklet hardware and the hint of a hidden inner platform. Fendi also sent out a series of simple, scrunched ballet flats, which also featured the same leather treatment and gold hardware anklets attached to them.
As for men’s, Fendi has launched several new sneaker styles in recent months. In May, the Italian house launched a high-top version of its Match sneakers in both a classic black and cream combination as well as in an exclusive total white crystal-embellished design as part of a new basketball capsule collection.
