Cole Haan Launches Lunar New Year Capsule Collection Inspired by the Year of the Dragon

Cole Haan has released a Lunar New Year capsule collection inspired by the Year of the Dragon that includes two new sneaker designs. The Lunar New Year will be celebrated on Feb. 10, according to the lunar calendar.

The limited-edition collection’s two new footwear options are the $190 men’s GrandPrø Ashland sneaker and the $170 women’s GrandPrø Wellesley runner sneaker. Designed by Cole Haan to help the consumer “channel your inner dragon,” each sneaker features full-grain leather with intricate dragon graphics, scale embossed detailing and a refined color palette of neutrals with red and gold accents.

Both sneakers are additionally crafted to feature responsive cushioning and steady traction, keeping the wearer comfortable for hours of quality performance. According to Cole Haan, “This collection perfectly blends a nostalgic, sport-inspired design with modern style, upgrading their best-selling silhouettes with a fiery update in honor of the Year of the Dragon.”

While exciting, this is not the first limited-edition release from Cole Haan. The brand has been one half of several exclusive collections and collaborations over the past several years. Partnering with Keith Haring, Hasan Minhaj, Rodarte and many others, Cole Haan has released modern variations of fan-favorite silhouettes updated with new branding aesthetics that fit the identity of its collaborators.
