Bape just announced the upcoming release of two fresh Sk8 Sta colorways set to arrive on June 1.
According to the press release, the new color combinations take inspiration from America’s collegiate aesthetic. The shoes come in bold yellow and black and timeless blue and red with white accents.
Both styles are crafted with velvety suede paneling and the brand’s signature shooting star logo adorning the sides, with the latter featuring a fuzzy tufted texture. Meanwhile, a number 93 (aka ’93) emblazoned on the molded heel counter serves as a nod to the year A Bathing Ape got its start.
Other details include Sk8 Sta branding on the tongue and heel tabs, a perforated toe box and white Bape-stamped midsoles. Retailing at $309, the shoes will be available to shop online starting on Saturday.

The cult-favorite Japanese streetwear reintroduced the SK8 STA in 2021, introducing new takes on both the low and high top versions.
This new drop follows the news that Nike settled its trademark infringement lawsuit against Bape. The brand revealed they had entered into a settlement agreement in a stipulated dismissal filed in New York’s Southern District Court on April 29. The battle over the look-alike shoe designs was originally filed in January of 2023.
Bape agreed to discontinue its Bape Sta Mid, Court Sta, and Court Sta High sneakers, and modify its Bape Sta and Sk8 Sta models. The ruling came after Bape’s request to dismiss the lawsuit in March. Bape’s first motion to dismiss was in May of last year, with Bape arguing that Nike had not detailed what exactly makes its iconic styles distinctive.
