Bad Bunny is set to merge martial arts and ballet for a new Adidas collaborator.
The Puerto Rican artist debuted the Bad Bunny x Adidas Taekwondo “Ballerina Shoe” during a night out with Kendall Jenner at Paris Fashion Week. Sneaker News first reported the martial arts-inspired silhouette will be a forthcoming collaboration and obtained of the shoe.
Based on the few glimpses of the Ballerina Shoe seen thus far, the Taekwondo doesn’t appear to take on any radical transformations under Bad Bunny’s stead. The canvas upper takes on a cream look countered by a white laceless tongue, while the sole unit appears to be translucent gum. No added Bad Bunny branding hits can be seen yet, as the traditional Adidas Taekwondo mark in gold foil sits on the lateral heel. Adidas’ Three Stripes are then printed directly onto the canvas.
Adidas launched the Taekwondo in 2019 as a women’s-exclusive model inspired by some of the brand’s archival martial arts models. The slip-on features an elasticized collar and vamp for a snug fit, and some variants have featured a leather upper giving more structure than canvas.

The Taekwondo could be poised for a hot streak given the recent popularity of ballet flats and current run of low-profile sneakers. Bad Bunny is also no stranger to donning women’s garments, which makes the model a good fit for him, even as a departure from his previous Adidas collaborations.
Bad Bunny’s most recent Adidas drop was a heavily modified Gazelle taking on a “San Juan” theme continuing the legacy of the brand’s unofficial “City Series.”
No further details for the Bad Bunny x Adidas Taekwondo “Ballerina Shoe” have been revealed yet, but Footwear News will keep you abreast of any updates.
