New Balance Confirms Skateboard Legend Andrew Reynold’s First Signature Model Is Coming Out in April

Legendary skater Andrew Reynolds signed with New Balance in December 2022, bolstering the brand’s Numeric skateboarding arm with some serious star power. And after receiving his own colorways of New Balance Numeric’s retooled 480 model, the professional skateboarder and athletic footwear company are taking things to the next level with the introduction of his own sneaker.
Widely referred to in the skate scene as a pro model, Reynold’s first New Balance Numeric signature shoe is officially known as the 933. New Balance Numeric began teasing the Reynolds pro model on Jan. 8 with an image of the athlete’s foot being digitally scanned.

Then, on Friday, the brand followed up with another teaser announcing the shoe’s official model number. That clip featured handwriting of a number of potential models being crossed out — nixing the 8055, 333, 999, and 993 before arriving on the 933 nomenclature. While the context of the 933 number has not been confirmed, the mention of 333 could be a reference to the 3:33 Footwear brand owned by Reynolds in the late 2000s.
New Balance Numeric’s latest preview of the sneaker came Monday with a zoomed-in shot of the 993 displaying suede paneling, fused mesh underlays and a dual-layered midsole.
Another look at the upcoming shoe was unveiled via the March 2025 issue of Thrasher Magazine, which features Reynolds performing a kickflip wallride on the cover. On foot, he’s wearing the 933, which offers another – albeit grainy — glimpse of the sneaker.
Reynolds is considered one of the most influential skaters in history and was co-founder of the iconic Baker Skateboards brand. To date, his most notable footwear is his signature line with Emerica, which he departed from in Sept. 2019.
An April launch for the New Balance Numeric 933 has been announced, with some sources pointing to an April 18 release date, although that has yet to be officially confirmed. This story will be updated with official details.
