This Women’s-Exclusive Air Jordan 4 Gets Covered in Denim

Denim and Air Jordans go hand in hand. Whether it’s sneakers worn with jeans or one of the numerous Air Jordan Retros that have been draped in denim over the years, the combination is timeless. And for 2025, the pairing will return to one of the brand’s most popular silhouettes.

Slated for a summer 2025 launch is women’s-exclusive Air Jordan 4 Retro TEX “Denim Worn Blue.” Coming exclusively in women’s, pre-school and toddler sizes, this new rendition of Michael Jordan’s fourth signature sneaker covers the model in a two-tone all-denim look. 

Split between a washed indigo bottom half and an even lighter wash on the top half of the shoe, the new colorway appears fully constructed with denim material. Even the Air Jordan 4’s tongue netting has been replaced with a stitched grid pattern across the lighter portion of the upper. The shoe also features a white midsole and gum rubber outsole segments. At the bottom of the laces, a metallic gold “Jordan” dubrae is included.

This upcoming women’s Air Jordan 4 Retro TEX “Denim Worn Blue” is reminiscent of 2018’s Levi’s x Air Jordan 4 collaboration, which was released in denim blue, black and white colorways. Other denim Air Jordan Retros of note include 2024’s Air Jordan 1 High, 2022’s women’s Air Jordan 1 High (which also came with gold hardware) and 2019’s “Washed Denim” Air Jordan 6.

It’s not immediately clear what the colorway’s TEX notation designates, but it could potentially be a reference to the textile composition of the colorway. 

As of publishing, the women’s Air Jordan 4 Retro TEX “Denim Worn Blue” is expected to be released on Aug. 9 at a retail price of $215 from SNKRS and select Jordan Brand retailers. The SKU is IB6716-100 and the sneaker’s full colorway is “Sail/Gum Light Brown/Worn Blue/Sail/Metallic Gold.”
