One of Michael Jordan’s most celebrated sneakers is getting a new camouflage makeover before the end of the year.

New information shared by @zsneakerheadz and Sneaker Files details an Air Jordan 3 “Family Affair” colorway — originally expected to be a “Realtree Camo” look — which is slated for a holiday launch.

In-hand images of the new style have yet to surface, but a speculative mock-up renders Michael Jordan’s third signature sneaker in a fully olive green upper with neutral accents. Based on the official color description of “Medium Olive/Sequoia/Neutral Olive/Sail/Total Crimson,” a final product similar to the mock-up seems likely.

According to the latest update, the new “Family Affair” colorway is inspired by Realtree Camo but will not actually feature the pattern on the shoe. In 2021, Nike, Inc.’s Jordan Brand issued a “Patchwork Camo” iteration of the sneaker which blended various prints and materials across the upper. And more recently, in July 2024, a WNBA-inspired colorway of the Air Jordan 3 featured a desert camouflage design. As for Realtree Camo specifically, the patented pattern appeared on the Jordan Air Ship in 2023.

Other 2025 Air Jordan 3 releases of note include a Valentine’s Day-themed style and a “Lucky Shorts” colorway inspired by one of Jordan’s unique superstitions, both of which are due to launch in February. Also on the horizon for the sneaker is a new “Diffused Blue” collaboration with A Ma Maniére

The Air Jordan 3 Retro “Family Affair” is set to launch during holiday ’25 from Nike’s SNKRS platform and select Jordan Brand retailers. The sneaker’s style code is DN3707-202. Retail pricing has not been confirmed.
