It looks like Adidas has little intention of slowing down on animal-printed versions of its classic sneakers, and for good reason: each iteration thus far has seen a near-instant sell-out. After a “101 Dalmatians” spin on the Samba surfaced in April, we’re learning more about the brand’s future patterned plans for the 1970s soccer shoe.
The Adidas Samba LT, the long-tongue iteration of the iconic model, will soon be released in two women’s-exclusive colorways featuring bold animal prints. Clad in contrasting black and white-based color palettes, each sneaker features varying cow prints and accents. Official Adidas e-commerce images of the upcoming releases are pictured here.
The black-based pair features a white faux pony hair upper with large black spots and green Three Stripes branding, while the white iteration uses a more erratic brown spotted pattern. Both styles feature leather liners and heel tabs along with the Samba LT’s signature fold-over tongue.
If the mismatched colors of this upcoming animal print pack look familiar, it may be because Adidas issued a comparable Samba OG duo in February. Those pairs used similar color blocking and cheetah-printed uppers. Following that release, more safari-like styles have surfaced including a Handball Spezial which takes a more subtle approach by moving the animal print to the shoe’s liner. There’s also the aforementioned “101 Dalmatians” collaboration with Disney, which is expected to be released soon.
The two Adidas Samba LT “Cow Print” pack women’s styles featured here are expected to be released this fall for a retail price of $130 each. The black-based pair has a SKU of JS3931 while the white style is JS3930. With availability expected from adidas.com and select Adidas Originals retailers, readers can expect a more precise launch date confirmation in the coming months.
