Up-and-coming footwear label Phileo, founded by young French designer Philéo Landowski, has curated an Adidas EVO SL drop available exclusively at Dover Street Market Paris, launching today, April 9.
Phileo, with support from Adidas, is welcoming guests to see Pascal Hachem’s newest work “Ballonné” at Dover Street Market Paris, where the EVO SL curated by Phileo will also be showcased. The EVO SL blends Adizero technology with a racing-inspired aesthetic.
“The installation transforms the staircase, creating a dynamic interaction between movement, space, and the historic architecture of Dover Street Market Paris,” a press release description reads. “Pascal Hachem’s work, rooted in the displacement of everyday actions and objects, brings a raw, unfiltered perspective to the space. His site-specific installations engage with urban life in unexpected ways, reshaping familiar elements to create new narratives and experiences. His approach deeply resonates with Phileo’s footwear design, as both challenge conventions.”
The description continues, “‘Ballonné’ offers a space where art and footwear converge, inviting visitors to experience the fluid relationship between form, function, and everyday materials.”
Landowski has previously had the support of Adidas for an art installation at Dover Street Market Paris in 2024 showcasing the work of Japanese artist Tadashi Kawamata.
Landowski, who has worked with Commes des Garçons in the past, was honored with the Emerging Talent award at the 38th annual Footwear News Achievement Awards in December.
“What interests me in a shoe is its interaction with a space, and the artistic aspect. But you can’t forget that it’s a product and there’s biomechanical engineering at play,” Landowski said to FN. “It questions the idea of volume, which you find in cars, in many fields of design and more loosely in fashion.”
“Ballonné” will be on display at Dover Street Market Paris, located at 35-37 Rue des Francs Bourgeois, from April 9-13.
