Action Bronson’s unreleased sneaker collaborations with New Balance are stacking up. With a “Pluto” Minimus Trail and a “Foxtrot” FuelCell Rebel v4 already confirmed to be released soon, the rapper has begun teasing yet another upcoming project.
This time around, Action Bronson returns to familiar territory by once again working on the New Balance 990v6 silhouette. It’s the first model he collaborated on with New Balance, beginning with March 2023’s “Baklava” colorway, which was followed in June 2023 with the “Lapis Lazuli” style. The artist’s work then veered off with three colorways of the New Balance 1906R and the soon-to-be-released Minimus Trail and FuelCell Rebel v4, but now he’ll be coming back to where it all started in 2025.
Action Bronson shared on Instagram Tuesday an on-foot image of a previously unseen New Balance 990v6 with his signature “Baklava” tongue branding. Mixing a pre-yellowed midsole with a wide-gauge white mesh upper, the shoe combines various color accents including bright red, burgundy, blue and pink. The look is somewhat reminiscent of the rapper’s “Rosewater” New Balance 1906R collaboration, though a specific inspiration has not been confirmed.

The FuelCell-cushioned 990v6 is New Balance’s latest update to its long-running 990 series. Introduced in 1982 with the original 990, the line was first revisited in 1998 with the 990v2 and has seen sporadic updates since, with increased frequency in recent years. Notably, the 990v6 features a far bulkier midsole than previous 990 iterations. Its FuelCell cushioning is often used in the brand’s higher-end running shoes, but the 990v6 is marketed as a lifestyle sneaker.
What is known is that the new Action Bronson x New Balance 990v6 sneaker will be released sometime during 2025. His previous New Balance 990v6 collaborations have had retail prices of $220 each. The shoes will likely be released on Action Bronson’s Specializing in Life e-commerce store and from New Balance’s website.
