Erewhon Ventures Into Shoe Business With Ugg Collaboration Including Limited-Edition Slipper
Two Los Angeles staples are teaming up: Ugg and Erewhon.
The boot company and the organic grocery store are joining forces to celebrate the return of the Ugg Tazz slipper in the shade of Mustard Seed, available beginning July 10 at 9 a.m. PT. The collaboration includes a limited edition version of the fur-lined platform slipper featuring a palm tree pattern designed by tattoo artist JonBoy. The popular suede Tazz slipper is known for its 1.75-inch platform sole and UGGbraid detailing.
JonBoy’s palm tree design is meant “to evoke Los Angeles’ spirit and cityscape.” The shoe is also embroidered with the names Ugg and Erewhon in their respective signature fonts on the front. Customers can enter a sweepstakes running from July 7 to July 10 at 9 a.m. PT for the opportunity to win one of just ten pairs of the JonBoy-designed shoes.
In celebration of the restock of the Mustard Seed colorway, described as “a fresh, sun-bleached spin on the UGG brand’s iconic Chestnut colorway,” Erewhon is also releasing a new cold-pressed drink called the Tazz Tonic. The ingredients include organic banana, peanut butter, maple, tahini, lucuma and collagen. The Tazz Tonic, sharing the same color as the Mustard Seed shoe, is currently available to order at Erewhon. Customers can also scan the QR code on the bottle’s hang tag to enter the sweepstakes for the custom Tazz designed by JonBoy.

Ugg has previously redesigned the Tazz with the Opening Ceremony for a spring 2024 collaboration. Ugg’s Valentine’s Day capsule also included a reimagination of the shoe in partnership with artist Humberto Cruz, in which “the UGG Tazz paid homage to the brand’s roots with irreverence and femininity.”
