The North Face has added new looks to its acclaimed hiking Hedgehog franchise since 2006. Now, with people seeking nostalgia more than ever, the outdoor brand is releasing a Hedgehog look from its archive with modern updates.

Available now is The North Face Hedgehog 06 RVST Gore-Tex, a look the brand described as a “modernized version of the original Hedgehog from 2006.”

The reimagined Hedgehog was built with modern technology for today’s adventurers. For starters, The North Face added durable and waterproof Gore-Tex liners made with 100 percent recycled materials, as well as non-marking Vibram XS Trek rubber outsoles that were designed with a balance of traction and durability in mind. And the uppers are made with breathable, 100 percent recycled P.E.T. mesh with synthetic overlays.

The hiker was also constructed with gusseted tongues, injection-molded TPU shank plates, protective molded-TPU toe caps, single-density molded-EVA midsoles and molded-EVA footbeds with 100 percent recycled P.E.T. top sheets.

The North Face Hedgehog 06 RVST Gore-Tex can be purchased now via Thenorthface.com for $179.

The brand has launched several new innovative shoes as of late for outdoor adventurers. For instance, The North Face debuted its Offtrail TR sneaker at the beginning of the month, a look the brand stated was designed to handle tough terrain at the intersection of hiking and running.

And late last month, The North Face revealed International Klein Blue, a collection timed to the start of UTMB done in partnership with the Yves Klein Archive. The highlight of the collection is the Summit Series Vectiv Pro 2.0 trail running shoe, a race-ready style that features seamless engineered uppers made with 92 percent recycled material that are reinforced with high-tenacity yarns.
