Superfeet Insoles Introduces Flip-Flops With Built-in Support

Insole maker Superfeet is taking a dip into the footwear market with this week’s launch of Outside, a men’s and women’s flip-flop. The single style is designed on a contoured base with built-in arch support and deep heel cups that cradle and support the foot.

For enhanced comfort, the Outside features a resilient foam mid-layer in the sole for shape retention that also helps channel impact away from the foot. The nonmarking outsole with slip-resistant traction helps wearers stay surefooted on wet surfaces from lakeside to poolside. The sandal upper is done in a quick-drying synthetic material that’s lined with neoprene for added comfort.

Available in two colorways each for men and women, the sandals retail for $59.95 and are sold online at Superfeet as well as independent retailers.

The company has also just released a series of new insoles that include Superfeet FLEXmax, FLEX and FLEXthin. Retailing at $29.95, they’re designed to add comfort to active footwear. A loose-fitting backpacking boot gets the FLEXmax, while tight-fitting soccer cleats work with the FLEXthin to add shape underfoot. The FLEX is for a range of styles in between.

There’s also a new addition to the Me collection of insoles for everyday footwear, a women’s and men’s full-length version designed to enhance the comfort and support of sneakers.
