Houston Rockets forward P.J. Tucker was looking to make a statement against his opponents last night for the start of the 2019-20 NBA Playoffs and he did just that when he broke out an exclusive pair of Air Jordans.
Prior to yesterday’s matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder, Tucker went on Instagram to snap a photo of the unreleased OVO x Air Jordan 16 that was made exclusively for Drake. The shoe features a mesh-based upper with reflective 3M quarter panels and a premium white patent leather mudguard. Adding to the look is a black leather shroud hiding the vibrant orange tongue, yellow laces, which sits atop an orange foam outsole.
As previously mentioned, the OVO x Air Jordan 16 was created exclusively for Drake, so it isn’t likely that the pair will be hitting shelves.

The Air Jordan 16 wasn’t the only sneaker that Tucker wore during last night’s matchup. As the game progressed, he swapped out for a player-exclusive version of the Nike Kobe 5 Protro that wears a bright crimson upper that’s contrasted by black panels including on the Swooshes. Capping off the look are red laces and a speckled heel counter, which sits atop a Zoom-cushioned midsole and a neon green outsole.
In 34 minutes of play, Tucker scored 11 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished out 4 assists while helping his Rockets team secure the win.
