Packer Shoes has released a number of stellar collaborations throughout 2016, and with the year winding down, the renowned boutique retailer has another must-have sneaker on the way. This time, Packer Shoes teamed up with New Balance.
The Packer Shoes x New Balance 999 “CML” arrives in stores on Saturday and will retail for $150. The collab is a Packer Shoes exclusive, and will be available in-store and online via packershoes.com.
Packer’s take on the classic shoe, according to New Balance, was inspired by camels and the use of camel hair fabric in fashion. The concept of the collaboration, New Balance said, merges the desert with the city, and employs a desert-like motif on the sneaker style that is built for everyday city wear.
The shoe’s upper is executed with a tan nappy suede that is made to look like the texture of camel hair, and is complemented with a micro-perforated pigskin toe box and premium nubuck detailing on its tongue and heel tab.
The shoe also features brown leather trim, reflective silver 3-M hits on the heels, Packer-branded insoles, speckled laces, and hits of coral, orange and blue.
