The U.S. men’s and women’s basketball teams, comprised of the best the NBA and WNBA has to offer, are both 2-0 in preliminary Olympic rounds, dominating the international competition. And Nike is celebrating what it takes to put individual accolades aside to compete for team gold.
The athletic giant highlights the strength of unity and the power of a team through its new “Unlimited Together” film — created by Wieden+Kennedy and directed by Hiro Murai — which made its debut online on Wednesday.
The video boasts the profound lyricism of Chicago rap star Chance the Rapper to help celebrate how teams are powered by its members’ individual strengths that become greater when joined to pursue a common goal.
The video features pro ballers — sponsored by Nike and other athletic brands — including Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant, Carmelo Anthony, Klay Thompson, Elena Delle Donne, Maya Moore, Diana Taurasi and more.
The clip is the latest installment of the brand’s Unlimited campaign, which also includes three other films: “Unlimited You,” “Unlimited Future” and “Unlimited Courage.” According to Nike, the campaign showcases everyday athletes and champions who continue to push their limits and are poised to prove their unlimited potential.
