Nike’s Kobe X Bright Crimson Hits Stores Thursday

Kobe Bryant is arguably one of the greatest players to ever hit the court in the NBA, and his Nike signature shoes are among the brand’s most popular. Fans of both Bryant and the Kobe X silhouette will have the opportunity to pick up another colorway on Thursday.

The Bright Crimson has a June 18 release date and a $180 retail price.

The shoe boasts a predominantly black upper with bright crimson throughout — in the swoosh, Bryant’s logo on the heel and peeking through the perforations in the shoe. The color also makes an appearance on the tongue and the laces. The outsole is bright crimson with hints of black and a translucent icy overlay.

The Bright Crimson is the second colorway of the Kobe X to be released in June. The high-top version of the Kobe X Elite was given the brand’s rose-gold treatment, along with two other popular signature shoes, the KD7 and LeBron 12. The Kobe X Elite Rose Gold was released on June 5, retails for $225 and is entirely black, with a metallic red bronze swoosh and eyelets providing the only color. The shoe’s outsole is white and hot lava, with a translucent icy cover.
