Although NFL star JJ Watt is sidelined indefinitely with a back injury, Reebok is continuing to deliver colorways of his JJ I signature training shoe. The next iteration of the shoe to hit stores carries Watt’s pro-U.S. military message.
The Reebok JJ I “Military Edition” arrives on reebok.com this Friday — Veterans Day — and will retail for $99 on Underarmour.com.
The shoe, according to Reebok, was made to honor veterans this month and is inspired by Watt’s appreciation for servicemen and women.
“We as athletes are often the subject of headlines and highlights, when in fact it is the men and women of our military who truly deserve the adoration and praise,” Watt said in a statement. “I chase a ball around a field for a living. These men and women lay their lives on the line to secure and protect our freedom. They are real American heroes.”
The “Military Edition” is executed with a brown, sandstone and tan color palette, and boasts a camouflage outsole.

The shoe will also help support Reebok’s involvement with the Boot Campaign, a charitable organization dedicated to raising awareness of the challenges service members face during and post-service. The brand confirmed its marketing initiatives surrounding the shoe’s release would feature the Boot Campaign.
“Reebok and I are very proud to support the Boot Campaign and all of the men and women who are so deserving of our respect,” Watt said.
