With the Rocket Mortgage Classic quickly approaching, Greyson Clothiers has teamed up with Merrell to give one of its acclaimed trail running shoes a new look.
The partnership, Greyson explained in a statement, presents the opportunity for the brands — which are both based in Michigan — “to create a new narrative around trail shoes in the sport of golf.” The storytelling around the collaboration also allows the brands opportunity to leverage each other’s “brand equity and audiences,” introducing new customers to both Merrell and Greyson.
The golf apparel brand, which is known for merging fashion with performance, reimagined the outdoor footwear company’s Agility Peak 5 Zero Gore-Tex in a predominantly white colorway with blue and gray throughout. The look, according to the statement, was “built to excel outdoors and perform exceptionally on the golf course.”
In terms of tech, the shoe features all-terrain Vibram MegaGrip outsoles underfoot, as well as Gore-Tex waterproofing in the uppers.
The Greyson x Merrell Agility Peak 5 Zero Gore-Tex arrives June 25 at 11 a.m. ET online via Greysonclothiers.com exclusively for Greyson members, as well as Merrell.com. It will also be available at Greyson’s store during in Detroit on June 25 at 7 p.m. ET. Retail price is $250.
The Rocket Mortgage Classic will take place from June 27–30 at the Detroit Golf Club.
