Eminem Partners With Online Trader StockX, New Sneaker Resale Marketplace Launches With Contest

Eminem is going from the music market to the sneaker resale market.

The rapper and sneakerhead — whose given name is Marshall Mathers — announced Thursday that he has partnered with StockX, an online trading platform, to launch a new e-bidding marketplace.

One of its first verticals in the new venture tackles the high demand for trading and selling sneakers — and it kicks off with a contest for a chance to win the entertainer’s rare Air Jordan 4 Retro Eminem Carhartt shoes, valued at $30,000, for StockX participants.

“Sneakers have always been a huge interest of mine, for at least as long as I’ve been rapping, and I’m proud of the fact that I’ve had so many collaborations with Nike and Jordan Brand,” Eminem said in a statement. “I really like the fact that sneakers are a big part of what StockX is doing.”
