In honor of Drake‘s 30th birthday, Footwear News rounds up his 10 best sneaker moments. The rapper has mainly been seen wearing Air Jordan and Nike since he signed with Jordan Brand in 2013.
Drake has collaborated with Jordan on multiple occasions. His Air Jordan 10 OVO edition sneakers, which hit stores in September 2015, were his first official release. He followed up with the all-black Air Jordan 10 silhouette that was released in February. Most recently, the “Once Dance” artist shifted to the Air Jordan 12. Like its predecessor, the OVO x Air Jordan 12 will debut in a predominantly white colorway.
When he’s not wearing his own signature shoe with Jordan, Drake has been spotted in Air Jordan 6 Retro Lows, Jordan Eclipse sneakers and multiple Nike styles.
The singer has been in the headlines many times this year for career milestones. His song “Once Dance” became the most-streamed song on Spotify ever, and he received the most American Music Award nominations of all time, setting a record with 13 this year.
After announcing that the remainder of his Summer Sixteen Tour will be postponed due to an ankle injury, Drake just made more headlines this weekend with his music.
The rapper released four new songs on Sunday during his Apple Music OVO Radio show. He also announced an upcoming project, titled “More Life,” a playlist coming this December.
