Chandler Parsons Admits To Camping Out Overnight For A Pair Of Kicks
The Dallas Mavericks Forward gets dressed each morning from the feet up — something we can definitely get onboard with. “I probably have 500-plus pairs of shoes in my closet,” he told Footwear News.
“I’ll pick out an outfit every day based on the shoe I’m wearing. I signed a deal with Anta, so I wear their product on and off the court, but growing up, I loved Jordans and Air Maxes. When the Jordan 11s came out, we went to the mall, stayed there overnight and ran in the store when the doors opened to get the color and size we wanted.
When I was 12, I started getting sponsored by Nike, and they’d send me all the cool shoes. The practices or camps I’d go to, the coolest part was getting the gear. Now I’m on my second signature shoe with Anta. It’s the one I’m wearing this season, and we’re going to do an off-the-court, more casual shoe, sort of an Air Max kind of feel. I’ll also have the Del Toro high-end shoes — five different shoes you can wear with any look at any event,” said Parsons.
Earlier this year, Parsons joined the Miami-based company as its new brand ambassador. As part of the partnership, Del Toro Shoes released a limited-edition collaboration with Parsons — a Molto Alto driving-inspired boot that featured the athlete’s signature on the tongue embroidered in gold thread.
