Carmelo Anthony is now the top scorer for Team USA in Olympic men’s basketball history.
The 31-point performance from the New York Knicks star gave him 293 points in his Olympic career, passing Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James, who has 273 points. Anthony scored his 31 on 11-of-21 shooting during Team USA’s 98-88 win over Australia on Wednesday, including hitting 9-of-15 shots from long range. The Jordan Brand-sponsored forward added eight rebounds, two steals and an assist to his stat line.
Anthony on Wednesday wore a tonal blue and white pair of his latest signature shoe, the Jordan Melo M12. The label unveiled the shoe in December, which hit retail shelves in January with a $135 retail price. The Jordan Melo M12 is available now on nike.com for a reduced price of $110.
The baller is a two-time gold medalist as part of Team USA basketball, bringing those medals home in 2008 and 2012. He won a bronze medal in 2004.
Melo and Team USA will face Serbia next, taking on the team at 6 p.m. ET on Friday.
