Reebok and Billionaire Boys Club Reimagine the Question Sneaker With Iconic Graphics From 2005

Fans of the Pharrell Williams streetwear brand Billionaire Boys Club will soon have a new two-shoe Reebok collaboration to add to their sneaker rotation.

Reebok and BBC revealed their fall ’20 collaboration today, which features two iterations of the iconic Question Low silhouette. The looks are executed with a pair of classic BBC graphics: “Beepers & Butts” and “Name Chains.”

The BBC Icecream x Reebok Question Low “Beepers & Butts” features the graphic of the same name, with beeper and cigarette butt imagery all over the upper. The illustration, according to Reebok, debuted in 2005 and was first used on the BBC full-zip hoodie. It was created by anonymous Japanese graphic designer Sk8thing as a nod to the 1990s hip-hop era where beepers were a sign of success.

The BBC Icecream x Reebok Question Low “Name Chains” is dressed in the graphic of the same name, which Reebok said also debuted in 2005 on the Icecream sneaker line and was created by Sk8thing. The inspiration behind the graphic, according to the brand, were the name chain necklaces and pendants that were popular in the 1980s hip-hop scene and worn as a means for Black Americans to show individuality and pride in their family names and identities.
