Air Jordan collectors love to educate themselves on the history of Michael Jordan’s signature shoes. Villa is making that easier for fans by stocking its shelves with XSX Media’s “The Encyclopedia of Air Jordans,” in stores today. The first edition was released last year.
Villa is the exclusive retailer of the second edition of the book, which has a $70 price tag.
Updated with larger pages, hundreds of new photos, and heavier and higher-quality paper stock, the followup was crowdfunded through Kickstarter and created by Jay Lawrence. It’s dedicated solely to the history of the Air Jordan sneaker lineage and features 30 years of Air Jordan history, according to Villa.

Jordan Brand has been busy with new colorways of late and has four releases hitting stores this weekend. The Air Jordan Retro 1 Low OG Black/White arrives Saturday, as well as the Air Jordan 1 High Nouveau out of the Black History Month collection and two shoes from the Chinese New Year line: the Air Jordan V Retro Low and the Jordan Super.Fly 4.
