Adidas Originals has finally opened its Confirmed reservations app for a release other than a Yeezy.
Customers interested in purchasing the NMD_R1 “Red Apple,” a special release in celebration of the new Adidas Originals flagship store opening, can sign up for their chance to reserve a pair on the Confirmed app until 2 p.m. ET today. Reservations will then open at 4 p.m. ET only for customers in New York City’s five boroughs: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island and the Bronx.
The red and black Primeknit upper features Adidas Originals‘ “Glitch” print that is featured on several upcoming NMD releases. The heel tab reads “New York,” instead of the usual “Brand with three stripes.”

The unisex sneakers retail for $170 and will be available to pick up on Wednesday — the same day the store officially opens. The flagship store on Spring Street in Manhattan’s Soho neighborhood will carry lifestyle product that includes limited-edition capsule collections and designer collaborations for men, women and children. It will also host events and installations regularly to encourage localized experiences, create a community of streetwear lovers, and connect with urban culture enthusiasts, the brand said in a statement.
For the last Yeezy release on Confirmed, the app was open for less than one minute before reservations were closed. The app was originally only available for use in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles, but the brand has expanded to more cities across the U.S. and in Europe.
