Adidas Celebrates The Chinese New Year With Limited Edition Releases Of D Lillard 2 & D Rose 6

February 8 marks the Chinese New Year, and 2016 is the Year of the Red Monkey. To celebrate, Adidas is offering limited edition colorways of the D Lillard 2 and D Rose 6 sneakers.

Both sneakers feature monkey prints and doses of bright colors. The D Lillard 2 is done in an all-black upper and has red, gold and blue accents. The upper on the D Rose 6 features a fiery red and black print, and also has blue and gold accents.

The D Rose 6 is available on Jan. 15 and retails for $140, and the D Lillard 2 will be available Feb. 5 for $105. Both can be purchased on Adidas.com, Eastbay and Foot Locker.

Adidas recently announced that the D Lillard 2 will be dropping this month. Damian Lillard’s second signature shoe is inspired by his youth in Oakland, Calif. Now that Lillard plays for the Portland Trail Blazers, he can work closely with Portland-based Adidas.

“Dame is pushing the game to another level each time he steps out on the court,” said Brian Foresta, vice president of global design for Adidas basketball. “He’s the leader in Portland now, and it’s a testament to where he came from.”

Adidas is also offering up an Aurora Borealis collection for NBA All-Star Weekend in Toronto in February.
