Earth Day is right around the corner, and sustainable footwear brand Kane has unveiled its 2024 collection to celebrate the holiday. The Earth Day Collection includes four new pairs of shoes, a T-shirt and a yoga mat, all of which are made from sustainable materials.
The shoes in the Kane Earth Day collection consist of new colorways for the brand’s iconic Revive shoe, a sustainably made injection-molded sneaker designed for active recovery.
The Earth Day drop adds a brand new colorway to the mix, “Cream / Forest Speckle.” The casual shoe is reminiscent of an elevated pair of Crocs with an earthy-toned sole, but the style is also available in colorways “Sunset / Earth Speckle,” “Tropic / Dark Earth Speckle” and “Wasabi / Lime,” which offer bright pops of color. The style is designed specifically for support and cushioning for athletes and active consumers in addition to style.
The Kane Footwear Revive shoe is made with “RestoreFoam,” a brand-defined material made from Brazilian sugarcane. A renewable resource, “ResoreFoam” is just one small part of the brand’s eco-friendly philosophy. Other Kane products, such as the Kane Project Review Yoga Mat, are made from recycled Kane Revives and wetsuits.
Separating it from other drops centered around the holiday, Kane Footwear has postured itself as a brand that genuinely cares about the environment all year round, not just on Earth Day. Kane has committed 1% of its gross sales to environmentally focused non-profits including Souls for Soles and The Changing Tides Foundation. The brand has achieved this by partnering with the non-profit group 1% For the Planet, which works with brands such as Patagonia, 818 Tequila and Boxed Water to funnel profits into environmental causes.
The Kane Footwear Earth Day collection is now available online and retails for $80.
