Converse Gets Futuristic With Run Star Legacy Chelsea Boots

Converse is stepping into the future with its new Run Star Legacy Chelsea boot CX.
The new drop retails for $130 and comes in jet black or stark white colorways. The ankle-length boot is available in a wide range of men’s and women’s sizes and acts as a riff on the brand’s ever-popular Run Star Hike high-top sneaker.
The footwear innovation marries the height and length platform soles can bring with premium comfort, flipping the idea of the modern Chelsea boot on its head.
The Run Star Legacy Chelsea boot CX is monochrome and includes plush full-grain leather upper, lightweight CX midsoles, zipper closures, sockliners and a stretchy high-top collar that offers the wearer adjustable comfort and easy on-and-off. Additionally, the boot includes distorted Chuck Taylor design elements on the uppers and soles, riffing off of many of Converse’s most popular styles.
Both the all-black and all-white styles are rounded out with thick and flexible rubber platform soles equipped with non-slip that provide the wearer with a substantial boost. Both tonal and futuristic styles allow for maximum versatility while the zipper closures impart a grungy touch.

Converse was founded in 1908 by Mr. Marquis Mills Converse in Malden, Massachusetts. The American lifestyle brand is best known for its canvas sneakers and distributes and licenses footwear, apparel and a wide range of accessories. The footwear brand became a subsidiary of Nike, Inc. in 2003.
