Clarks is celebrating Valentine’s Day with a new capsule collection inspired by its best-selling Torhill silhouette. The collection will feature a brand-new iteration of the classic shoe available in two colorways, red and black, with alternating contrast laces.
The shoes, crafted in luxe velvet, are adorned with four unique symbols aimed to thematically resemble a clairvoyance aesthetic. These symbols include a seeing eye, a beaming heart, a star-flanked half-moon and divining hands holding a ball. The embroidered motifs are stitched onto the shoe’s body with golden thread. The newly designed footwear styles are also designed with a sole in translucent rubber, chosen to resemble a crystal ball.
Despite this unique take on the Torhill silhouette, this is not Clarks’ first time reinvigorating some of its trademark styles to bring forward exciting new visual elements. From elevated streetwear brands like Supreme, Stüssy and Neighborhood, to idolized individuals like English soccer player Raheem Sterling and American hip hop collective Wu Tang Clan, Clarks has reinvented some of its most classic styles to reflect the creativity, ingenuity and legacy of its many partnerships.
One of the most recent Clarks collaborations reimaged the brand’s iconic Torhill Hi shoe by partnering with the beloved franchise “Pokémon.” The collection pulls inspiration from “Pokémon” characters Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle and Pikachu and is crafted of premium textural suede. Available in various hues that match the shades found in each character’s design, these shoes are finished off with vintage details resembling features from the “Pokémon” universe.
The special-edition collection will be available to purchase at Clarks.com on Jan. 25.
