This fall, Western boot brand Ariat will introduce the Two24 luxe line of horsey looks for men and women, and the company has a lot to live up to.
After all, the name is inspired by a legendary race horse: Secretariat, winner of the 1973 Triple Crown (and Belmont Stakes record holder with a final time of 2 minutes, 24 seconds).
And the brand has big ambitions: “We wanted to keep the collection [close] to our core DNA of Western and English styles, but this time we’re playing in a higher price point,” said Jake Rivas, Ariat’s VP of footwear design and product development, about the new brand that fuses a modern-yet-vintage vibe. “We’re seeing an artisanal movement going on, with people looking for classic, enduring products.”
The collection is targeted to equestrian boot lovers looking for both performance and lifestyle products. Men’s styles in the line include a slip-on ankle boot in suede and soft leather, and a cap-toe lace-up. For women, there is a laced knee-high boot and a suede Chelsea style.
Retail prices will range from $349 to $599 for the line, which is produced in Spain and the U.S.
