Ground Up x Barbie Court Sneaker to Launch at American Dream Mall’s Kids Foot Locker
Calling all parents whose kiddos love Barbie, mark your calendars.
A new sneaker collaboration from Ground Up and Mattel will debut during a special event at Kids Foot Locker at the American Dream Mall in East Rutherford, N.J., on March 2.
The “Power of Friendship” launch event, which will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. ET, will include fun installations, a DJ, and an interactive dress-up area featuring Barbie and a Barbie car that youngsters can take photos with. There will also be face painting and friendship bracelet making.
Additionally, the first out of 100 shoppers to buy Barbie’s Fashionista Dolls will receive an exclusive gift. Guests can also enter to win an in-store sweepstakes that includes one-of-a-kind items like Ground Up‘s Barbie Court sneakers boasting Swarvoski crystals, an exclusive Barbie handbag with rhinestone accessories, and a Barbie box bundle featuring custom Barbie x Ground Up socks and shoelaces.

You can join the raffle when you purchase a pair of the Barbie Court sneakers. Available in sizes for infants to preschoolers, the new pink and white style boasts a UV-activated area on both the front and side panels that reveal Barbie motifs and printed linings.
Barbie has been bigger than ever in recent years thanks to director Greta Gerwig. The live-action “Barbie” movie starring Margot Robbie was the most highly-anticipated film of the year in 2023. Ahead of its release, Barbiecore fashion took over, with just about everyone dressing in pink garb and footwear. Superga even released a special Barbie collection in celebration of the film.
