Kendrick Lamar’s Best Shoe Looks Through the Years [PHOTOS]

Kendrick Lamar is considered by many to be one of the most prolific rappers of our time. As of January 2025, he has released six studio albums, the latest being the surprise drop “GNX” in 2024; that was a major year for the artist, as he not only put out that project but participated in a much-talked-about beef with Drake which brought about the hit song “Not Like Us,” among other tracks. His albums released prior to “GNX” include, in reverse chronological order, “Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers,” “Damn,” “To Pimp a Butterfly,” “Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City” and “Section.80.” “Damn” earned him a Pulitzer Prize for Music, making him the first rapper to take home that honor. With all of this critically acclaimed music under his belt, he is preparing to take the stage at Super Bowl LIX in February.

Lamar is known not only  for making Grammy and Pulitzer Prize-winning music but also for his fashion sense. The rapper is something of a sneakerhead and has collaborated on shoes with multiple giants in the footwear industry: Reebok, Nike and Converse. From a reimagining of the Reebok Ventilator style to a “Damn”-inspired Nike Cortez to his company pgLang reinventing Converse’s Chuck 70 and Pro Leather styles, he has made an imprint on sneaker culture. However, his personal fashion sense isn’t limited to the athletic shoe that is so closely associated with the world of hip-hop.
