They hail from vastly different worlds: Kelsey Plum, 30, is an established basketball star from the West Coast with two WNBA championship rings and an Olympic gold medal. Lay Bankz, who’s 10 years her junior, is an emerging artist from Philadelphia who scored her first Billboard Hot 100 hit in 2024.

At first glance, they don’t seem to have much in common. But when the two Under Armour ambassadors met for the first time at FN’s cover shoot last month, they seemed like lifelong friends.
