Philanthropy and family were the focus of the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project’s Block Party event on May 20 in Los Angeles. Stars of “Fast X,” the latest installment of the “Fast and Furious” franchise, arrived in support of their co-star’s charity, which provides support to health, education and safety for youths in Africa.
Vin Diesel, Jordana Brewster, Michelle Rodriguez, Paris Jackson and more added star power to the cause. The program included an auction that benefited the organization, which saw Diesel pay the winning bid for a dinner party prepared by Andrew Zimmern, and “Fast X” director Louis Letterier claim tickets to a getaway package to Paris that featured seats at a Dior fashion show.
Theron was unable to attend due to COVID, but expressed her thanks to her friends in Hollywood and fellow advocates throughout Africa who were among the guests.
Sponsors included CAA, Dior, Breitling, Universal, and Bloomberg, with additional support from Stella Artois and Whispering Angel.
