Ashanti and Nelly, who first met in 2003 as their respective music careers took off, made headlines last year as it was revealed they found their way back to each other after years apart. With an on-and-off relationship dating back to the early 2000s, the couple reunited after running into each other on stage at a Verzuz battle between Fat Joe and Ja Rule in 2021. The “Air Force Ones” rapper walked over to the singer for a hug in front of thousands of fans and the rest is history.
