A$AP Rocky’s Met Gala Shoe Style Over the Years [PHOTOS]

A$AP Rocky is one of the co-chairs for the 2025 Met Gala, taking up the mantle for the much-anticipated event themed “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” alongside Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton and Pharrell Williams. Ahead of fashion’s biggest night on the first Monday in May, FN looks back at the rapper’s previous Met Gala looks — which have featured several interesting pairs of shoes.

The “Everyday” musician most recently attended alongside his partner Rihanna in 2023, when the theme was “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty.” He paid homage to the designer by wearing an outfit Lagerfeld once displayed in 2006; Rocky stepped out in a Gucci ensemble featuring crystal-embellished blue jeans with a red kilt layered over it, while he also modeled an abundance of belts from the Italian brand and a classic suit look on top. A pair of Gucci boots with a metal square toe completed the look.

He also attended with Rihanna in 2021, when the theme was “In America: A Lexicon in Fashion,” donning a tuxedo from ERL and a multi-colored quilt from the brand. His shoes were a pair of black sneakers adorned with a red jewel. He showed up at the Met Gala in 2017 modeling a black denim suit from Calvin Klein with a white turtleneck for the “Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garcons: Art Of The In-Between” theme. As for his shoes, he went with a pair of black Calvin Klein boots with a metal toe (similar to his 2023 footwear aesthetic). Back in 2014, for the theme “Charles James: Beyond Fashion,” A$AP Rocky donned a tuxedo from Topshop and a pair of black boots with metallic accents.
