The mood: Glunge and glitter.
The shoes: Insta-likable sparkling block heels or lug sole boots and oxfords with soles rimmed in crystal. Plastic utility buckles on shoes and ’90s plaids, boxy coats overtop negligee dresses and tomboyish tailoring undercut all of the glitz.
The verdict: Extra points for novel meshy legwear, cut loose as a hybrid pant-meets-hosiery, and also bedazzled. They added a sense of whimsy to Alessandro Dell’Acqua’s heavily-involved, never boring, always maximalist creations.
