The Shoes: Stacked heel oxfords and thick-soles boots that contrasted those camel coats and classic tailoring or dared to clash with bold striped looks. They were done in pony and glossy leather and snappily paired with fishnets, a likely influence of brand consultant Carine Roitfeld.

The Verdict: From boiler suits and overall mannish proportions to the womanized version of a boyish brogue, this collection was a timely ode to one of history’s finest (and coolest) examples of female empowerment in fashion.
