Loewe‘s latest campaign is making waves, thanks to its star-studded cast.
For the Spanish luxury label’s pre-spring 2024 ads, creative director Jonathan Anderson tapped a range of actors, creatives and friends of the house to model his latest designs, shot by photographer Juergen Teller. One of the most viral images is of Dame Maggie Smith — star of “Downton Abbey” and “Harry Potter,” where she famously starred as Professor McGonagall — who cradles one of the brand’s two-toned Puzzle handbags while draped in a dark, fluffy coat.
Another image finds Smith in a navy blue silk dress, clutching a light brown version of Loewe’s Puzzle tote bag. Rounding out the range is another viral shot of her perched on a printed couch in a black and white-paneled dress, layered atop black tights and glossy black pumps.
Taeyong, member of the South Korean boy band NCT, also posed for the campaign in a pair of the brand’s round-toed clogs — which were coated in small crystals for a sparkling statement. His glittering pair was boosted by a green mohair sweater and leather pants, with added pops of color provided by a bright yellow tote bag and knit purple scarf.
Dakota Fanning slips on a set of Loewe’s round-toed pumps, which are coated in thick, fuzzy brown shearling for an all-over textured flair. The set brings a whimsical base to the rest of the star’s outfit: a yellow, spot-printed cold-shoulder dress, accented by several sizes and colors of Loewe’s Puzzle tote bags. Fanning’s second image finds her in the same pumps — albeit in a deep purple tone — paired with blue jeans, a faux-fur sweater and the brand’s smooth black leather hobo bag.
Within the campaign, Teller’s lens also features an extended cast of Greta Lee, Josh O’Connor, Mike Faist, Fei Fei Sun and Rachel Jones. All wear the brand’s latest neutral and jewel-toned ready-to-wear, handbags and home goods — as well as shoes, which range from rounded clogs to the aforementioned textured pumps.
