Keds Highlights Champion Sneaker With New Campaign Featuring Christy Turlington Burns and Her Daughter Grace Burns

Keds has tapped mother-daughter duo Christy Turlington Burns and Grace Burns for its spring 2024 campaign, which will highlight its classic Champion sneaker.

Christy, who’s a global maternal health advocate and model, and her daughter Grace, an NYU student, writer and model, showcase Keds‘ classic sneakers in the campaign, wearing different colorways with casual looks.

As part of the campaign, Keds will partner with Christy’s nonprofit organization, Every Mother Counts, which has a mission to make pregnancy and childbirth as safe as possible for all mothers everywhere.

“This was a dream campaign to work on with my daughter who is the inspiration of my advocacy work,” said Christy via statement. “We are grateful for the support of Every Mother Counts and our investments around the world to ensure equitable access to safe and respectful maternity care for all.”

For over a century, Keds has prided itself as a classic American brand that embraces timeless fashion and female empowerment, making the new faces of this campaign even more fitting.

“Working with Christy and her daughter Grace for our ’24 campaign was a natural fit. Both embody the effortless and classic style of the Keds brand. As a majority female led brand, we are also excited by the incredible work Christy does as an advocate for equitable maternal health,” said Jennifer Lynch, GM and VP at Keds, via statement.

Keds was founded in 1916 with the debut of the iconic Keds Champion “sneaker,” becoming the first female-focused sneaker brand. In the last 15 years, Keds has collaborated with influential women, major brands and influential organizations, such as Taylor Swift, Kate Spade and the Major Leage Baseball organization. One recent collab was the Keds x Staud collection, inspired by pickleball.
