Bottega Veneta is taking chic — and colorful — steps into the Lunar New Year with its latest capsule collection.
To celebrate the Year of the Dragon, the Italian luxury brand has released a vibrant new line highlighting the Chinese zodiac sign. Designed by Matthieu Blazy, the line prominently features multiple iterations of the label’s mesh Orbit sneakers, cast in colorways including yellow and silver, red and gold and red and purple.
On the sleeker side, Bottega Veneta’s womens’ lineup also includes new takes on the label’s signature Adam sandals. Compared to the gold-heeled sandal’s staple apple hardware, this lace-up version — cast in woven dark green and pale blue leather — features gold dragon hardware at its tips. The same accents can also be seen on a flat-soled version, as well.
Rounding out the range are a wide array of additional accessories. Blazy has included new versions of his popular Bottega Veneta handbags — including Intrecciato woven leather tote bags, crossbody bags and the hit Andiamo, Sardine and Jodie styles — with dark green, yellow, black and red color palettes, many accented with dragon-like fins. Completing the range are leather home goods, as well as gold metal and red enamel jewelry crafted in the flared shapes of dragon scales.

The full range can be seen in the brand’s accompanying Jess Jing You-directed film and Ken Ngan-shot campaign, “The First Sunrise with You.” The imagery finds numerous characters — including starring brand ambassador Shu Qi — taking in a dawning sunrise in the spirit of new beginnings, family and the beauty of nature.
Bottega Veneta is the latest brand to release a limited-edition collection for the Lunar New Year in 2024. In recent weeks, labels including Fendi, Coach, Kate Spade New York, Koio and more have also embraced the Year of the Dragon with themed products, capsule lines and more, as previously reported in Footwear News.
